Associated Bonded Cables (ABC) is a subsidiary of a Large Corporate Manufacturer based at another site. This role will receive support and advice across all departments from the General Manager and from Senior Management at Headquarters.

 

This position is responsible for working closely with the Management in leading and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the team in Associated Bonded Cables. The Manager will be assisting with the management of the Supply Chain, Purchasing, People Management, Facilities, Maintenance, Lean and EH&S aspects of the Factory. This role will also provide support to the following aspects; Production and Quality, Training new employees and New Product Design and Development. The Manager will work closely with Senior Management to lead and develop the general operatives, intake, despatch and scheduling of production in addition to progressing with the continuous improvement of product quality and the Health and Safety of all employees.

 

Role and Responsibilities;

  • Lead and motivate employees and provide insight, guidance, and support to your team to achieve its targets and objectives
  • Maintaining accurate stock levels and escalating and resolving supply chain issues
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  • Create a strong and vibrant culture of health & safety in your area, report and investigate near misses, incidents, and accidents accurately and in a timely manner. Implement relevant standards and recommendations on Environmental, Health & Safety
  • Manage the general professional conduct of your staff in line with company policy
  • Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s ISO9001 Quality and the Continuous Improvement system.
  • Work closely with Senior Management to identify opportunities for improvement and ways to develop new efficient procedures in line with Company objectives, production KPIs, concerns and strategies
  • In conjunction with Senior Management, this person will select and prioritise projects whilst Planning, organising, and developing the team
  • Be an influential leader within the Senior Management team, providing guidance and expert advice on key areas of responsibility
  • Passion, a great work ethic with an adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitor and log individual metrics which measure the team’s performance fairly and meaningfully, demonstrate flexibility in reporting depending on the circumstances
  • Ensuring a high level of cleanliness in the building and surrounding areas

Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 Years in a Supervisor role with experience in Planning Management, Inventory control management is essential
  • 3 years + leading a team with demonstrated ability to motivate and engage with employees is essential
  • Generate meaningful metrics which measure the performance and devise reports which are communicated to Senior Management Team
  • Compliance and accountability – Ensuring that all policies, procedures, and controls are updated regularly and followed at all times
  • Play a leading role for the management team and driving change in the Factory
  • Fluent English is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build up a good relationship with suppliers
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Good leadership – Motivating, leading, training and developing your overall team
  • Previous experience in dealing with Disciplinary and grievance procedures is essential
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise and work on your own initiative
